Why should Lily’s Kitchen be in your cupboard?

Why should Lily’s Kitchen be in your cupboard?

If you’ve come across our articles about brands before you’ll know that we choose them very carefully. We stock products that align with our own ethics and standards; if we come across something we don’t agree with, it leaves our store. Lily’s Kitchen has proudly been on our shelves since day one and here's the reasons why:

Ingredients

The brand began when owner Henrietta was trying to help Lily with an itchy skin condition. As many of us have found, ingredients in pet foods that aren’t natural are full of preservatives and other things that don’t need to be being fed to our animals causing problems with our pet’s health. This led Henrietta to be making Lily food from scratch to try and nurse her back to health. Wholesome ingredients and high quality was the start and the backbone of the brand today.

Environmental impact

‘Lily’s Kitchen is proud to be one of the founding members of B Corp in the UK, as well as the first pet food company in the world to certify as a B Corporation. Using business as a force for good is part of our DNA, and each year we strive to do better.’

With 100% of their suppliers being able to track and report their energy usage, this makes Lily’s food some of the most sustainable on the market. 85% of their packaging is recyclable, they only use renewable energy and they continue to reduce CO2 in their supply chain.

Credentials and approval

Henrietta began Lily’s Kitchen working with nutritionists and veterinarians. With a continued partnership the brand remains to have both complete and tailored nutrition for both cats and dogs loved by the nation and it’s highly regarded pet professionals.

‘We work closely with our vet and nutritionist to create complete and balanced recipes, using top quality, natural ingredients, vitamins and chelated minerals to help your pet get the very best from their food.’

Development

Lily’s Kitchen has not stopped pushing for better in pet food and for the planet since they started over 10 years ago. Their plans for the future are what all businesses should be striving for.

‘Pets, People, Planet = Profit for all

Lily's Kitchen is dedicated to providing proper food for pets, with a commitment to tread carefully on the planet and actively engage with our community. Having a successful and profitable business allows us to do even more for people, pets and the planet.’

Pets in need

Top rated by all their customers, Lily’s Kitchen aren’t just keeping happy pets in households but out of them too. With continued support for charities like PDSA, they continue to give meals to animals in shelters to ensure they get the nutrition they need. This doesn’t stop at just animals, but also helping their local communities too!

We love Lily’s Kitchen for more than just the incredible food. There's tastes to suit the fussiest eaters and tailoring to those growing, those active and those who are retiring. The ingredients and recipes can’t be faulted and the care for the animals and the planet makes them one of our favourites.

We couldn’t choose our favourites between the products we stock, so here's everything for you to look through and let your pet try: Lily's Kitchen | Pets of the People
