Why do our dogs love Laughing Dog treats?

 

 

We started stocking Laughing Dog last year and we’d like to share our thoughts with you after many a treat given to the POTP hounds!

 

The Laughing Dog family is now three generations in. Based in Lincolnshire it all began in 1936. With a disliking for waste and an abundant amount of crop left over, a little idea was born. What could be done with it to help sustain the dogs?

 

The father of it all, Ted Grant, took over in 2008 moving the business to his family farm. Since then it has grown with the employment of local people who share the same values. With well looked after soil and crops, good ingredients can be made. Good ingredients for dog food equals healthy dogs. With pride for being makers and not producers, they still have full control over their recipes and ingredients ensuring that only the best is making it into each packet. (Mr Grant received an OBE for horticulture services so we’re pretty sure we can trust his ingredients!)

 

Grain-Free, Wheat-Free and Gluten-Free

 

Laughing Dog has a range of products that don’t contain any cereals.  As we’re already aware, for some pooches barley, wheat, maize, rice and oats don’t make them feel so good. It seems unfair that some dogs have to sacrifice flavour or nutritional value for their tummies sensitivity - but there’s no compromise here if anything the flavours and healthy ingredients are even better!
